The woman pursed her maroon-shaded lips and blinked back at him. Ninomiya Kazunari focused his eyes on his scuffed black Converse and remained silent.
“If you’re not going to say anything, then get out.”
The seventeen year old boy’s head snapped up and he let out a ragged breath. “You’ve gotta be fuckin’ kidding,” He felt something shatter inside of him but he kept his eyes down, fearing she’d be able to see the pain that stained his translucent irises. “You’re kidding. Don’t do that to me, Tamiko. Don’t kid around like that.”
She smirked almost sadistically and cocked her head to the side, raising her eyebrows as if challenging him. Rubbing the bridge of his nose heatedly, Nino had to remind himself to breathe evenly and his pulse gradually ceased throbbing in his ears.
“I love you, Tamiko.”
“Get. Out. Now.”

And before his mind could process what was happening, he heard a door slam behind him and he was alone.
